The cycle starts with provocation and packaging. Screenshots, stitched clips, and hot takes strip context and turn nuance into ammunition. Audiences get clean sides—heroes and villains—so engagement spikes before facts settle. That velocity is the product.

Incentives That Sustain It
Platforms optimize for engagement, not accuracy. Moral-emotional language spreads faster than careful explanation, so the most certain voices win distribution. This is structural, not personal. The system pays the loudest first and asks questions last.
Scripts and Imitation
Once a format performs, others copy it. Narratives harden into scripts: “anti-man,” “anti-woman,” “stay on purpose,” “never submit.” The message gets more extreme because the medium rewards extremes. Identity becomes the hook; imitation becomes the habit.
Breakpoints: Method Over Momentum
Slow the scroll. Trace claims back to sources. Separate social performance from social reality. Put method first—what was said, where, by whom, and with what evidence. When creators foreground process, the loop loses power.
